When you are told that you are not able to have a baby and the reason is because of you, this can send a shocking feeling through your body. Many women who want to get pregnant are not able to get pregnant, so they live their life in regret. They end up afraid to tell the guy, because they do not want the guy to leave them because she is not able to have their son or daughter. There are so many women out there that are struggling to have babies – if you find that you are infertile, then go and adopt. Sure, they may not be “blood,” but love is thicker than blood. I have done a bit o research and would like to give you 7 things that may cause infertility in women …

7. Hormonal Problems

Hormonal problems is a common cause of anovulation. The process of ovulation all depends on the balance of the hormones and the interactions. Any disruption in this process can stop ovulation.

6. Scarred Ovaries

Scarred Ovaries is another factor that could cause infertility in women. Going through invasive, extensive or multiple surgeries for ovarian cysts could cause the capsule of the ovary to get damaged or even scared.

5. Endometriosis

Endometriosis happens when the uterine tissue grows outside the uterus. This has an affect on the function of the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. These implants are able to respond to the hormonal cycle, shed and bleed every month. This can cause inflammation and scaring. Pelvic pain along with infertility is common for those with endometriosis.

4. Early Menopause

Another cause of infertility would be early menopause. Yes, some women can go through menopause before they even read forty years of age. I have known women in their twenties to go through early menopause and for that reason, they can’t have kids.

3. Medications

There are certain medications that can cause temporary infertility. In many cases, the fertility is restored when you stop taking those medications. You should speak with your doctor before you stop taking any medications you are currently on.

2. Uterine Fibroids

These are benign tumors that nest on the wall of the uterus. It is common for women in their thirties and forties. It can interfere with the egg being properly implanted.

1. Caffeine

Caffeine can definitely reduce fertility in a woman. So, your best bet would be to reduce the intake of caffeine. I know, it’s hard to do, but that does not mean that it isn’t possible to do.

Those are 7 things that may cause infertility in women. Of course, there are many other things that could cause infertility in women. If you believe you have this problem, then you should speak with your gynaecologist. Don’t be afraid to speak with a gynaecologist, because doing so could help save your life, because you could be dealing with a serious issue. As I said, there are many other reasons as to why infertility may occur – can you name some other reasons?
