1. Vegetable Based

The juice cleanse is fruit based, but experts say that can spike your blood sugar, which isn’t a great thing because it can cause a crash later in the day. On the other hand, a soup cleanse is veggie based, which helps eliminate that sugar spike and keep your blood sugar going consistently all day long.

2. Lower in Calories

Vegetables are way lower in calories than fruit, which makes a soup cleanse a better choice if you want to lose weight while you cleanse. People who have done the soup cleanse claim that they aren’t left feeling hungry, which is good if you want to cut calories without feeling pangs in your stomach all day.

3. Boosts Nutrient Intake

Many nutrients are present in veggies, which makes the soup cleanse a good way to boost your intake. Vegetables are a prime source of vitamins A and C, iron, potassium and antioxidants. That means you get benefits that include immunity boosting, gum health, blood pressure regulation, healthy blood and disease prevention. If you have trouble getting enough veggies on a regular basis, a soup cleanse might be able to help.

4. Fiber Intake

While a soup cleanse might be great for getting some much needed nutrients into your system, fiber is one you might be deficient in. When you break veggies down, they lose some of their fiber. You need lots of fiber to regulate your digestion and control your blood pressure so it’s never a good idea to skimp on it.

What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!

5. It Lasts for a Day

Proponents of the soup cleanse suggest doing it once a week. The system involves eating only the appropriate soups for the entire day. You might be hungry when it’s all over, but supposedly you’ll feel energized and refreshed. I guess that’s a good enough reason to give it a try, right? I like soup so I guess it can’t hurt.

6. Touted Benefits

The experts who created the idea of a soup cleanse did so for many purposes. According to the information on the program, the soups do a whole host of good things for you. That includes detoxing your body, adding shine to your hair, giving you energy and purifying your system. Wow! That’ a lot of good. Vegetables are pretty tasty and if they can do all this, there’s really no reason not to try the soup cleanse.

7. Not for Everyone

While the soup cleanse sounds pretty miraculous, it’s not right for everyone. Before giving it a try, talk to your doctor. This is especially important if you have any health conditions, food allergies or other problems that might get in the way of the effectiveness of the soup cleanse.

Have you ever tried a soup cleanse? Do you have any other advice for making it work?

One can also add Chia seeds. Im vegetarian and I add chia seeds on my salads, smoothies, soups, etc.. They are rich in Omega 3s. You can see them, but can't taste them.

Doesn't cooking kill the Vitamin C ? I have never thought soup has any nutritional value.

I think it helps to add some hemp hearts to the soup. It adds fibre, makes it more filling and is great for you (and delicious!).

I tried,"The Cabbage Soup Diet," & only lost a whopping 3 lbs, when it claims you can lose 10 lbs.
