1. Drink More Water
It’s a simple fact of life that our bodies require water to function properly. It’s also a sad fact that coffee, sodas and alcohol do not hydrate your body well enough to replace the water in your diet, so you should stick to water. Adults should aim to drink at least two very large cups of water each day (it may be easier to build this up over a month period if you do not enjoy water) which will not only hydrate your body but will also help you to lose weight.
2. Eat Healthier
Sure, it can be easy to grab a bag of chips out of the cupboard rather than cut up an apple or peel and orange, but incorporating more beneficial foods such as fruits and vegetables into your regular diet truly can make you feel healthier. You are probably sick of the mantra 5 a day but you should get to the point where it just happens without you having to think about it. Try keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks to see just what your ratio of healthier v unhealthier foods you eat – you can then make any necessary adjustments to feel more healthy.
