This domestic violence organization is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They connect callers with shelters and advocates in your area, and provide information about getting you to safety. There are no fees, and you don’t have to give your name. A chat option is available, but is only available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. central standard time. (thehotline.org)

Another domestic violence helpline that’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Chat and text contact is also available. They provide resources to help victims stay safe, build a support system, and access legal protection. Geared mostly toward teens, the website has tools to help define unhealthy relationships. Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN) (800-656-HOPE)

The RAINN organization deals with sexual violence like rape, abuse and incest. It is the largest organization of its type in the U.S. It created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (same number as above) and the Department of Defense’s Safe Helpline (877-995-5247). Besides the immediate help they offer victims, they also operate programs to prevent sexual violence and bring rapists to justice. (rainn.org)

ALIANZA (National Latino Alliance for the Elimination of Domestic Violence) (505-753-3334)

Alianza is a network of organizations that focus on the specific needs of Latino or Latina families experiencing domestic violence. While the organization offers referrals to those experiencing violence, its main focus is to train domestic violence organizations by providing them with culturally and linguistically relevant information on providing assistance to the Latino community.

Safe Horizons (Domestic Violence: 800-621-HOPE, Rape and Sexual Assault: 212-227-3000)

Not only a domestic violence organization, but Safe Horizons also offers support for any kind of violence, including rape. Their hotlines are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Counselors are available in almost every language, and they provide safety planning, referrals, and help finding a shelter if necessary. They also provide advocacy with law enforcement.

Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center (866-USWOMEN)

Provides both phone and email support. Email is only available during certain times. The phone number can be reached toll free from 175 countries and serves both civilian and military populations. They provide advocacy, safety planning, case management, assistance with relocation, emergency funds for housing, childcare, and legal fees. In addition, they offer legal consultations and help obtaining emergency needs such as American passports.

This organization offers a 24-hour helpline for victims of domestic violence. They offer referrals to community resources, directories for male-friendly resources, help filing protection from abuse orders where available, and referrals to counseling and to emergency shelter. (dahmw.org)

The National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women (800-903-0111 X 3)

This domestic violence organization is an advocacy center for battered women that have been charged with crimes associated with their battering. They work with women who have been arrested and are facing trial, as well as incarcerated women.
