Losing Weight in a Week is something that most of us know is unrealistic, especially if we are hoping to lose a good amount of weight in one week. However, losing weight in a week is possible, and sometimes necessary for special events or parties. It's important to remember losing weight this quickly is only temporary. If you want to keep your weight loss or continue to lose weight you have to continue to work at it. However, there are a number of helpful tips that can give you a hand if you're interested in losing weight in a week.

1. Drink Only Water

I don’t know about you, but I waste a lot of calories on drinks.

Between extra cream and sugar in my coffee, sodas at lunch, and sweet teas between meals, the amount of calories I’m drinking is insane.

When I want to lose weight in a week I know the first thing I must do is drink only water.

2. Low Carb

Another thing that helps me lose a few pounds in a week is switching to a low carb diet.

I try to avoid things like white bread, potatoes, rice and pasta.

Instead I focus on vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins for the week.

3. Cardio

Of course to lose weight in a week I also have to up the cardio.2

I try to add an extra 30 minutes of cardio to my routine.

You can do this by staying on the treadmill a little longer or going for an after dinner walk with the family or a friend.

If you don’t already have a workout routine in place start with 30 minutes every day of cardio exercise like walking, dancing, swimming, or riding a bike.

4. Get More Sleep

Most of us don’t get enough sleep.

Lack of sleep can really wreck your health and cause you to hang on to weight.

Along with the other changes, go to bed a little earlier each night.
