When was the last time you had a good massage? Did it help calm your nerves and relieve stress? I bet it did. Massages are a great way to get rid of pent up frustrations and feel better. It is amazing how much the power of smell affects the body. Aromatherapy has been known to calm a person down or rev them up for the day. When I need to calm my nerves, I like to find a nice relaxing scent like sandalwood or lavender. Sometimes I use the oils in a bath, other times a dab a little on my body or clothes keeps me calm throughout the day.

Herbs are also great for calming. You can brew them in a tea. Others work in tablet form. Kava and Motherworst are two popular herbs good for anti-anxiety. They are both found as teas and tablets. Chamomile tea is also good for calming nerves. What herbs do you use to stay calm?

Reflexology is a popular practice used to treat pain and lower stress. Your body is filled with different pressure points that, when pressed, will help calm and relax you. Sometimes all we need to feel calm is a good night's rest. Getting adequate sleep will help you think more clearly and be ready to handle different problems as they arrive.
