Flossing Reaches Unreachable Places

Those crooks and crevices between your teeth, those back teeth...flossing helps to clean those places! Some teeth are really crammed inside a tiny mouth. That is no excuse not to keep them clean. Use your dental floss to reach those hard-to-reach- places.

2

Flossing Helps Loosen Bacteria

Flossing loosens the 500 kinds of bacteria that thrive in your mouth, so you can flush them out! Ewwww! Can you imagine? 500 different kinds of bacteria? That is a nasty enough reason to want to brush, and floss, 5 or 6 times each day.

3

Prevents Tartar

Tartar starts to build up after 24 hours, so it's good to floss at least twice a day to prevent the build up from occurring. Tartar is what the dentist has to scrape away while cleaning your teeth. Also, it's good to get your teeth professionally cleaned every six months.

4

Helps to Prevent Gingivitis

Flossing helps to prevent gingivitis, which is a disease in the gums. Your gums become inflamed, bleed, and turn red and purple. If you have heavy bleeding when your brush or floss, you may need to ask your dentist about the bleeding. Gingivitis can be serious if left untreated.

5

Flossing Prevents Tooth Decay!

Food and other yucky’s left in between your teeth can turn into cavities that will ultimately lead to decay of the entire tooth if not cared for. Flossing removes all these "yucky’s" to keep cavities from forming! I hate getting a cavity filled. Even with the numbing shot, I can still feel that stinging sensation when the dentist drills out the cavity. I had rather avoid it all together!

Keeps Halitosis at Bay!

Halitosis is in simple terms bad breath! Breath so bad people step back from you when you speak to them! Prevent bad breath by flossing! The bacteria inside your mouth rots and decays. This rot is what causes the bad breath. Just typing this sentence grosses me out!

Keeps Your Smile Beautiful!

Without proper care and treatment of your teeth and gums, your smile will fade in an effort to hide bad teeth. Keep your teeth and gums healthy, so your smile will stay bright and beautiful! Where do you think the term “pearly whites” came from? Besides yellow breath and stinky breath is embarrassing.

I know, teeth become stained and sometimes, for reasons out of your control, you have bad breath. We are all human, and life has a way of throwing unwanted things in our laps. Who wants bad breath, right? So what is your reason for flossing?
