Sometimes you need to get creative to find ways to drink 8 glasses of water a day. Sometimes those 8 glasses seem like a lot to drink. At least I have felt that way before. But I have found some ways to drink 8 glasses of water a day and enjoy them at the same time. Water is really important to our bodies so we need to do our best to get our daily 8.

1. Greet the Day with Water

Try to greet the day with water. When you wake up in the morning, your body is thirsty, even if you don’t feel overly thirsty. You have not had water in about 8 hours. It is a good time of day to get a glass in and get started on those ways to drink 8 glasses of water a day. This should be one of your easiest glasses to get in of the day.

2. Keep It Close by when You Exercise

Exercise will make you thirsty and that is a good thing. That is because when you exercise, you are sweating and losing fluids. You need to replace them. The way to do that is by drinking water. I always keep a water bottle near me during my daily workout.

3. Install an App

Yes, I said install an app. About a year ago, I ended up in the ER with some health problems because I was dehydrated from not drinking enough water. That was not fun and I decided I did not want that to happen again. Getting my daily 8 became very serious to me at that point. I found a free app which I installed on my phone to remind me to drink enough water each day.

4. Reach for Water before Food

There are two ways you can reach for water before food. One is with your meals. Try to have a glass or at least a portion of one before you eat. Secondly, if you feel hungry in between meals, try to have a glass of water instead of a snack. Sometimes we think we are hungry but we are really just thirsty.

What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!

5. Buy the Brand You Love

I am all about saving money and working to keep my grocery budget under control. One item I do not try this with is water. I believe that water is worth the price you pay if it will make you more likely to drink it. My favorite brands are just a little bit more than other brands but they are well worth it to me. I love Dasani and SmartWater.

6. Keep One with You

One way to get you daily 8 in is to have your water close by and at hand. Take it with you wherever you go. If I go somewhere, you will almost always see a bottle of water sticking out of my purse. It helps you to get enough water in each day when it is easy access to you. When you have to be more intentional, it is another difficulty to deal with in getting your needed water.

7. Flavor It

Water should taste good. I love the taste of water, especially my two favorite brands. But there are ways that you can flavor it if you don’t like the clear and natural taste of water. You can put fruit slices in such as lemon or oranges. You can also pick up flavor drops at most any grocery store.

I put two cinnamon sticks and an apple cut into small cubes in my bottles.

I have an app and love it. I love challenging myself everyday to meet my goal and even pass it!
