1. Dental Benefits

Did you know that caffeinated coffee has antibacterial and anti-adhesive properties that can reduce your oral cancer risk and nix cavity-causing bacteria by over half? Now that’s one of the top reasons to drink more coffee, hands down! Having a healthy mouth is a good incentive for all of us.

2. Lowers Your Cancer Risk

As mentioned before, drinking coffee will lower your risk for oral cancer, but coffee also lowers your chances of getting breast and skin cancers! Certain compounds in caffeinated coffee may limit cancer cell growth, so make sure to drink 2-5 cups daily. Follow up with water to stay hydrated.

3. Easier Concentration

One of the things that I was delighted to learn about drinking coffee was the brainpower benefits! Just one cup of coffee alone will increase your alertness and concentration efforts! If you have a desk job or a job that requires quick thinking, make sure you are chugging your coffee to stay bright and on your feet.

4. Energy Bursts

If you had a long night or little sleep, you already know to reach for the coffee to keep yourself awake. But did you also know that caffeine helps block the signals to your brain that tell you you’re tired? So not only does coffee keep you awake, but it can also help you push through a stressful day or a hardcore workout! Word of caution: don’t make it a habit to chug coffee before every workout because coffee does have dehydrating properties, so you don’t want to end up sick.

What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!

5. Speed up Your Metabolism

Serve up your coffee sans cream and sugar today and then reach for that slice of cake! That’s right, coffee temporarily boosts your metabolism up to 15% by helping you feel fuller. So you can indulge in a little extra if you like, right after a cup of coffee. If you’re dieting or trying to lose weight however, say no to those sweets and enjoy the boost to stave off hunger while reaping the benefits!

6. Slash Diabetes Risk

Sipping on coffee can help reduce your risks of developing type 2 diabetes-but there is a catch. It has to be caffeine free in order to provide these benefits! It’s good to alternate your regular coffee with decaf every now and then, so don’t hesitate to try this little tip. Decaf is good for evenings right before bed so you don’t get too wound up on caffeine.

7. Stay Happy

Studies have proven that stopping for a coffee break will instantly give you a pick me up! A little me-time combined with the caffeine is the ultimate mood boost! So if you suffer from a case of mid-afternoon blues, have a 5-minute coffee break to see if that lifts your spirits.

As you can see, coffee has many healthy attributes! Just remember this little tip when you fix your coffee: filling it full of creamers and sugars may lessen some of the health benefits, so try to take it black or with a natural sweetener. Also, coffee can be dehydrating so make sure you are drinking enough water. Thanks for reading! Please comment if you know of any other great reasons to drink more coffee!
