7 Things You Should Not Take for Granted ...
By Mercy

There is a lot we all have to be thankful for. Unfortunately, in our fast paced and hectic lives, we have so little time to appreciate all the things that are going well for us that eventually we start to take these things for granted. Here is a small list of things that you should not take for granted.

1. Your Health

This is perhaps one of the most important things that you should not take for granted. You may be in the best of health today, but if you are not very careful, this may give way to serious health concerns later. Ensure that you do your bit to help keep your body healthy. Even the smallest changes count and lets face it: a healthier you = a happier you!

2. Your Body’s Ability

Along with your health, you most likely also take the ability of your body for granted. Today, you can work x hours a day and make a tidy packet. Or you can walk a few miles on a daily basis. It is important to remember that with ageing, there are a number of things that your body will not be able to do as well as it is doing today. So be kind to your body and take good care of it.

3. Your Memory

Just as the strength and ability of your body will diminish, so will the skill of your mind to remember everything that happens to you. You need to come to terms with the fact that your memory will not serve you as well as it is when you grow older and realize that it is one of those things you should not take for granted. Try mental exercises and memory tricks and keep your brain as sharp as possible!

4. Your Success

Most people who are successful tend to take their success for granted after a while. While it is easy to get used to success and being successful, it is also crucial to remember your roots and ensure that you never take them for granted. Pride always comes before a fall, so never forget the person you were.

What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!

5. Your Parents

In terms of relationships, we very often tend to take our parents for granted. They have done a lot for us to enable us to be where we are in our lives today. But, they often recede to the background as we take center stage in our own lives. Give your mom a call if you haven't in a while, give your dad a hug, do something nice for them and show them that you care.

Friends are one of those things you should not take for granted ever! They become something of a habit for us and we forget just how important their presence is in our lives and how much they mean to us. Make it a point to always spend some time with them and catch up with them. When it comes down to it, these are the people who will have your back!

7. Your Spouse

If you are in a long term relationship, chances are that you are taking your partner for granted at least to some extent. While this is normal in any close relationship, the trick is to catch yourself every time you do it and make amends immediately. I've known quite a few relationships that have gone down the drain because of this very reason.

These are only a few** things that you should not take for granted.** If you look closely into our life, you will find that there are many other things there that you ought to be thankful for, but somehow, you end up taking them for granted. What are these things in your life and are you ready to make changes?
