You brush your teeth every single day, multiple times a day, but you might not be doing it right. There are little mistakes almost everyone makes. According to Self, you should avoid doing these things:
There's just as much gunk on your tongue as there is on your teeth. That's why you can't forget to brush your tongue. It'll reduce your bad breath and make you feel a whole lot cleaner.
Don't hurt yourself. Brushing harder isn't going to do anything, except damage your tooth enamel and hurt your gums.
You should be holding your brush at a 45 degree angle. Then you should brush in super small strokes, almost like you're cleaning one tooth at a time.
This is just a waste of money. Why? Well, "whatever germs are on your brush are the same ones your body just built up a bunch of antibodies against."
You can share everything else with your man, but don't share your toothbrush. It could actually cause an infection.
The longer you use the same toothbrush, the worse the bristles will be. That means they won't clean your teeth as well. You should be replacing your brush every three or four months.
You're meant to brush for two minutes straight. Grab your phone, set a timer, and don't stop until it goes off.
