Avoid Procrastinating

One of the worst things that you can do before a long and stressful exam week is leave everything for the last day. Not only will you stress yourself out but you will also have to compromise your study time on almost every subject, which will result in bad grades. Therefore, one tip on how to get over test anxiety is to plan your time. The more organized you are, the easier it will be for you!

2

Study in Advance

In order to avoid last minute study stress, you have to study in advance. If you know your material inside out beforehand, the less time you will spend revising and the less time you will spend worrying about passing the test. So if you choose to study for half of the subjects a couple of weeks before the midterm week, you will have time to study for other subjects and potentially ace every test.

3

Get a Good Night's Sleep

No studying comes to use if you are not able to use it. Therefore, in order to have a clear head and use your knowledge properly, it is important to get enough sleep. While some say that teenagers should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep, in actuality they should be getting at least 10 hours of sleep since they are still developing. However, try to change your sleeping pattern in advance so your body gets used to it. Any hasty changes right before the test may not work in your favor.

4

Don’t Stress Yourself out

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We tend to stress ourselves out and think of the worst scenarios instead of relaxing. If your brain is scattered that means that you cannot focus, and if you can’t focus you might as well not study. So don’t be the cause of your own failure, and just breathe!

5

Focus on Material You Know First

When taking the test, you might get overwhelmed with all of the information that it is asking. However, one way you can tackle this problem is by answering the questions you know first. That way new information may pop into your head and you will be solve harder problems, but you won’t waste time on questions that you don’t know.

7

Realize That It’s Just a Test

In the end, a test is just a test. It doesn’t define who you are and if you mess up on one of them, you life doesn’t end. You can’t always get a perfect score on the next test and there are always other times when you can improve. So change your mindset about it and don’t compromise your health or sanity for an exam!
