1

Warmth or Swelling

Does one of your breasts feel slightly warmer than usual without there being a specific cause or reason? Have you noticed a slight or significant swelling in your breast area anywhere from the armpit to the nipple? These are things that should really be checked out by a doctor and are one of the most common potential warning signs of breast cancer.

2

New Lumps

Any kind of new lump, hardening, or thickening in the armpit or breast area is cause for concern. Most of the time, these are just natural changes that will come and go in your body, but as soon as you notice a lump of any shape or size, you should make an appointment with your doctor to have it checked out.

3

Redness or Flaky Skin

Have you noticed that your breast skin is redder or flakier than normal? You might think that it simply a reaction to the new bra your bought or the swimsuit that you have been wearing, but it could be something more than that.

4

Puckering or Dimpling

If you have noticed any physical changes such as puckering or dimpling on the surface of your breasts, then this can be a tell tale sign of something being wrong.

5

Nipple Pain

Don’t mistake that nipple pain that you have been experiencing as a result of your daily jog or of a badly fitting bra. If it hurts all the time and even more so when slightly pulled, it really should be checked out.

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

6

Nipple Discharge

Following on from nipple pain, if there is nipple discharge, you need to see a doctor. Any grown woman knows that nipple discharge if you are not nursing a child is not normal, so don’t hide away. Be brave and get seen by a doctor as soon as possible.

7

General Breast Pain

A large percentage of women experience some degree of hormonal breast pain as a part of their normal menstrual cycle, but if you have been feeling more pain than usual and at a time when your menstrual cycle might not be the reason, then it is highly recommended that you seek the advice of a medical professional.

The thing to remember with all of these signs is that the sooner you see a doctor, the sooner you can be diagnosed and the sooner any treatment that is needed can take place. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to visit the doctor. They have seen it all before and want to help you live a long, healthy life.
