7 Best Workout Apps ...

Workout Apps are so incredibly helpful. I mean, I know it sounds cliché, but there really is an app for everything, including a range of them to keep you fit, motivated and educated, including, of course, loads of workout apps. I’ve used quite a few of them to help with tracking my progress and even to help me learn a few new tricks… interested? Keep reading! Here are my picks for the 7 best workout apps. And look! Most of these workout apps are free!

1 Nike+ GPS

It's a GPS-enabled real-time map, it's a cheerleader, and it's a competitive game, all rolled into one app by Nike. Nike + Tag is loads of fun... what more could you ask for in a workout app?

If you've always wanted to try yoga but weren't sure where or how to start, then this is the free workout app for you. It's loaded with 250 poses and instructions, and there's even a soundtrack and a male yogi to lead you through.

If you're a member at LA Fitness, then this is the workout app for you! It can tell you where the nearest gym is, which amenities it has, and you can actually manage your membership with it, too.

P90X is far and away my favorite workout regimen ever, so it's fitting that it should also be my favorite workout app ever, too. While I think Ton Horton may actually be personally trying to kill me, I still love what he's done for my body with this app.

For math-challenged folks like me, a workout app that counts calories consumed alongside the calories you're burning is a definite must-have. This app is my favorite calorie counter, and best of all, it's free!

7 SELF Magazine

I love SELF magazine, especially their weight loss and workout tips. So I love this app, which has so many of the same things that I love about the magazine in print. It's free, so why not give it a go?

It can be really hard to keep fit, to stay on a diet, or to find motivation. Using workout apps can really help with that.
