I know you’re busy in the morning and you’d probably rather sleep in or spend that extra time primping, right? I’ve found eight great reasons to eat breakfast regularly that just might change your mind!

Giving your body a big boost of energy to start your day is one of the most convincing reasons to eat breakfast! It’s been said that eating breakfast is literally breaking the fast from sleeping for 7-8 hours, so eating a healthy meal will help boost your metabolism and raise your blood sugar to get you going for the long day ahead!

It might not seem like there’s a direct link between eating breakfast and weight loss, but that morning meal really makes a big difference! People who don’t eat breakfast will typically be so famished by mid-morning that they’ll grab whatever high-calorie food to satisfy hunger. A study by the Journal of Epidemiology found that those who skip breakfast are 4.5 times more likely to be obese than those who regularly eat breakfast.
3. Be Healthier
Eating breakfast gives your body a boost of energy, so it would make sense that it helps you to be healthier overall! Traditional breakfast foods contain many of the vitamins, fiber and nutrients that our bodies need on a daily basis. Make your breakfast even more healthful by including fruits with lots of vitamins that’ll help ward off bacteria and fight infections!

A study published by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that eating breakfast was associated with a better attitude towards work or school, as well as improved strength and endurance throughout the day!
