1. Nuts

It’s important to have healthy snacks to take to work. Nuts are great. They provide protein and are easy to prepare. Either stash a jar in your desk or fill a little snack sized plastic bag of nuts before leaving the house.

2. Yogurt

Yogurt is an excellent snack to take to work, and with so many flavors, you should never get bored. My favorite right now is a toss between Key Lime Pie and Velvet Chocolate Cake. The flavor is so spot on I feel like I am treating myself to the real thing.

Frequently asked questions

3. Fruit

Fruit are like nature's ready-made healthy snacks to take to work. They come packed and ready to go. Take a different fruit everyday for variety or supply the office with a fruit basket to encourage others to eat healthy too. If you want to take an orange, I suggest cutting it into quarters at home to save time peeling at work.

4. Half a Sandwich

Healthy snacks to take to work are meant to tide you over or give you a boost of energy. An entire sandwich in between breakfast and lunch might be too much, but a half sandwich packed with lean protein and veggies is perfect. Try something with an avocado spread instead of mayonnaise or mustard.

5. Veggies

Raw carrots, celery sticks, cucumber slices, and cherry tomatoes make great healthy snacks to take to work. Add a little low calorie ranch to dip your healthy vegetables. The fiber in the veggies will keep you full, so you can easily stay away from the unhealthy snacks in the staff room.

6. Popcorn

Who doesn’t like popcorn? But I bet you never thought of it as a healthy snack. Either take in a bag to pop at work or pop it at home in the morning. Opt for light or plain popcorn and top with no calorie butter spray. That way you can enjoy the same flavor without the fat and calories.

7. Edamame

This is one of my favorite healthy snacks to take to work! Edamame is just so fun to eat. You pop those little green soy beans out of their fuzzy little pods and eat away. They are healthy and delicious. If you haven’t tried edamame yet you need to.

8. Sushi

Sushi is also a great snack to take to work. Pick up a small roll on the way to work, or learn to roll your own sushi. Sushi is low in fat, packed with veggies, good protein, and comes in perfect bite sized pieces.
