Dealing with sagging breasts isn’t something we openly talk about but I’ve found some helpful info on ways to deal with and prevent our ta-tas from sagging! While we can’t fight aging, gravity and life in general, there are ways we can help give our girls a lift and prevent sagging from the get-go! Check out seven simple tips on dealing with sagging breasts or breast ptosis without surgery!
1. Keep Weight Steady
When you’re dealing with sagging breasts, one of the best things you can do is to maintain a steady weight. Yo-yo dieting is bad for your health as well as the appearance of your body so it’s best to maintain your weight or aim for slow, steady weight loss as much as possible. Part of the fat in the breast changes in appearance when you lose or gain weight, which results in stretching the skin.
2. Say No to Smokes
If you’re at the stage where you’re trying to prevent sagging breasts, a key thing to remember is to stop or never start smoking! Smoking can cause sagging breasts just like it causes wrinkles. Cigarette smoke causes skin to lose its elasticity and flexibility over time. While the effects of cigarettes might not be immediate, over time you’ll start to see changes in your skin as a result.
3. Support Yourself
Another way to prevent sagging breasts is to support them with a proper sports bra when you exercise. Running can especially cause a lot of bounce and tear some of the supporting ligaments in breasts. The larger your cup size, the more it moves and needs to be confined in order to reduce movement and prevent sagging.
4. Proper Posture
Having good posture not only helps us look more confident and slimmer but it can also help our breasts appear perkier! When you slouch, your breasts automatically look droopier and you just don’t look as self-assured and assertive as you are and should rightly appear to be! Practice standing and sitting up straight so you can give your girls a temporary lift while helping you look taller!
If you’re dealing with sagging breasts or just want to keep your girls in tip-top shape, a massage can do wonders! Self-massage of the breasts can help release stagnant fluids, which can help re-shape and give them a lift! Push-ups are a great exercise to tone up your upper body and they can help firm up sagging breasts and keep perky breasts pert! Push-ups can be hard to do if you’re not used to doing them, so feel free to start with doing push-ups with your knees down for more support. Push-ups will help build the muscle behind the breast tissue, which can give your breasts a boost.
Another way we can keep breasts pert and prevent sagging is to use weights. There are a couple of different exercises you can do with dumbbells, such as taking two dumbbells between 1-5 pounds and holding them in your hands and down by your side. Next, lift up your hands like you’re a bird flapping its wings. This can build a different area of muscle behind your breast. For another exercise with weights, check out the video above!
