1. Keep Your Windows Closed

In know it’s really sad to have to keep the fresh spring air out of your home, but if you suffer from allergies, experts say that closing your doors and windows will keep allergens out of the air inside your home. This will make you infinitely more comfortable when you’re lounging at home or trying to sleep at night. Run a fan if the house gets stuffy and you’ll be a lot better off.

2. Try a Face Mask if You’re outside

I’m not suggesting you wear a face mask everywhere you go, but if you need to work in the yard or you want to read a magazine on the back patio, it can keep you from breathing in allergens that could be causing your symptoms. A mask is perfect for weeding the garden or playing tag with the kids in the backyard. It might look silly, but you’ll be so glad you did it.

3. Install an Air Purifier in Your Home

An air purifier is a really easy way to clean the air within your house and keep it clean and fresh. The product works by blocking out allergens that could be making your miserable and keeping them from circulating in the air around your house and office. There are great air purifiers at all price ranges so you’re sure to find one that works for you.

4. Use a Saline Spray

A regular rinse with saline spray is a powerful way to control your springtime allergies. The spray can relieve stuffiness and congestion related to allergies and make it so much easier to breathe. You can get saline sprays over the counter at most drugstores. Be sure to follow the directions carefully to ensure that you maximize the benefits of the one you’ve chosen to use.

What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!

5. Eat a Healthy Diet

Because your immune system plays a big role in how your body reacts to allergens, you need to be sure yours is in tip top shape when spring rolls around. Eat a variety of healthy foods, including lots of fruits and vegetables, which boost immune enhancing nutrients like vitamins A and C. The more variety, the better. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms if they worsen, however, because some fruits and veggies can actually aggravate certain types of allergies.

Eating small amounts of local honey can help you adapt of the specific allergens that are in the air around your home. Spread it on toast or drizzle it over your morning yogurt and in time you should notice that your springtime allergies get better and better. Who knew allergy control could be so yummy?

7. Add Some Omega-3 Fatty Acids to Your Meal Plan

Omega-3s are usually recommended as a way to boost healthy fat intake for your brain and heart. Turns out they can also help control your allergies. Salmon is a great source of omega-3s, but you can also get them from nuts and avocados. A supplement can fill any gaps in your intake.
