1. Asthma

Did you know that the sodium benzoate found in pop is linked to causing asthma and eczema. If you have asthma or eczema, you might want to pull back on the soda drinking. If you drink soda on a regular basis, it may have something to do with your constant asthma and eczema flare ups. If you want to test this theory out, keep a food journal and mark down every time you drink a pop. Be sure to note if you had an asthma attack or noticed more eczema that day.

2. Tooth Decay

Want to know another way soda affects your body? Drinking soda is also linked to tooth decay. You see, the sugar and acid found in soft drinks can dissolve tooth enamel. Too much decay can affect the nerve and the root of the tooth, causing pain. Eventually you will have undergo dental surgery to remove the decayed and infected tooth. If you must drink a soda, please try to brush your teeth soon afterwards to help prevent tooth decay.

3. Heart Disease

A major downfall with soda is the high fructose corn syrup. As you are probably aware, there is a big debate going on about whether or not high fructose corn syrup is good for the body. Many experts want it banned. It has been linked to causing an increase in heart disease and diabetes.

4. Kidney Issues

Looking for more ways soda affects the body? How about your kidneys? If you are a regular cola drinker and have had recent kidney issues, your pop drinking could be the cause. The phosphoric acid in soda has been said to cause kidney stones and renal problems.

Did you know soda can also affect your reproductive organs? It is believed that some sodas may be coated with BPA or bisphenyl-A. This the resin found in plastic bottles and containers. It is linked to causing cancer. It is also said to be the reason for early puberty and other reproductive problems.

7. Osteoporosis

Not only does phosphoric acid found in sodas affect your kidneys, it also affects your bones. It can cause the bones to break down and increase your risk of osteoporosis. It takes away calcium from the body, which your bones need to stay strong.

Actually don't sip on cokes drink them quickly and when you do wait like 30 minutes to brush since acid weakens enamel. The minerals in saliva will remineralize it to a point but the sugars still need to be removed. Make sure you use a fluoridated toothpaste too.

But I barely drink soda and I regulate salt,milk,ect. How can I still have eczema?
