Candida overgrowth occurs when a diet of sugar, refined grains, and anything that raises the glycemic index is eaten. It also occurs from processed food overload, fast food overload, and even having constant anxiety or stress. Using coconut oil to fight candida won’t work with a bad diet, or stress overload, but it can help in some other ways. Get your diet to a clean, whole foods diet first and foremost, and then introduce coconut oil.

Another tip for using coconut oil is to buy the right kind. Many people use refined forms, which are okay for frying and baking, but not so much for eating on a daily basis. It’s also best to buy organic.
