Awesome Ways to Increase Your Water Intake for Girls Who Want to Drink More ...

Are you looking for some ways to increase your water intake? It’s pretty much a universal fact that human beings are more than 95% water, so it makes complete sense that one of the worst things that can happen to us is to become dehydrated! Even though it is so important, you would be amazed at just how many people don’t drink as much water every day as they should. There are plenty of government and health guidelines on water consumption, but for some reason, many of us still tend to ignore the advice and we suffer as a consequence. If you have realised that you don’t drink nearly as much water as you should and are looking for ways to increase your daily intake, then take a look at this helpful list of ways to increase your water intake.

1

Ask for Water when Eating out

Drinking water at meals is one of the best ways to increase your water intake. Start getting into the habit of ordering a glass or jug of water for your table alongside your other drink of choice when you visit a restaurant with family or friends. This is an easy way to maintain the hydration levels, because you will instinctively sip on the glass while eating your other food and drinking your other beverage, and it won’t feel like an extra task that you have to make time for.

2

Carry a Water Bottle

Another fantastic habit to get in to is the habit of carrying a filled water bottle with you wherever you do. This might seem like an impractical hassle at first, but once you start to feel the benefits of the extra hydration throughout your day, you will be completely converted! There are a whole range of cool bottles that you can buy, even ones that flavour the water with real fruit.

3

A Glass on Your Nightstand

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth, but are so comfortable that you can’t face getting out of bed to go to the kitchen? This problem can be instantly rectified if you remember to place a glass of water on your nightstand before you go to sleep. It’s just as important to stay hydrated during your sleeping hours as it is during your waking hours!

4

Infuse the Water

Water doesn’t have to be something that has to be consumed in its arguably bland natural state. You can turn your hydration mission into a taste sensation by infusing your water with things like lemon, cucumber, mint, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, kiwi and even something a little more out there like basil! Pretty much any kind of fruit will work for this, but trust us when we say that banana is not suitable for infusing water!

5

Water in Other Forms

Drinking straight glasses of water isn’t the only way to get more hydration. Eating lots of fruit can be very hydrating, as well as experimenting with different types of smoothies that will give you a more exciting taste experience than simple water.
