1. Make a to-do List
I know it seems like the opposite thing to do when trying to find ways to help you unwind at night, but someone people have a mind that won’t stop racing with ideas for tomorrow. Take a moment and create a list of things that need to be completed tomorrow and then do your very best to worry about that list TOMORROW.
2. Have Some Fun!
You worked hard all day, now is time to have a little fun. Think like a kid for a minute and choose one of your favorite childhood activities to unwind. Color, finger paint, go to the park for a swing, play a game of tag, or watch a funny cartoon. It’s even better if you have kids to enjoy these activities with you. It’s a win-win for everyone. You get to relax and the kids get to have a fun time with Mom.

I don’t know about you, but I love yoga as a way to relax my mind and body. There is something about the gentle movements and holding poses that relieves tension and lets me get away for a moment. As an added bonus, yoga is also a great way to increase flexibility and build strength.

I love talking to my girlfriends. Our busy schedules can make getting together a challenge, but we seem to always find time to have a nice chat on the phone. Do you have a favorite hobby? Do you make time for it? What better way to unwind than to take time out to enjoy your favorite pastime. If you like photography, why not take your camera out for a walk and catch some great pictures? If you like art then spend a few minutes drawing or painting at the end of the day. You don’t have to complete a mastepiece before bed, but you can spend a few moments doing what you love.
