Why You Wake up Still Feeling Exhausted ...

Ever wondered why you wake up still feeling tired? Do you regularly go to bed at an appropriate time, feel like you have had a good night’s sleep, but still feel absolutely exhausted when it comes time to get out of bed and get ready for the day ahead? Believe me when I say that you are not the only one. Post-sleep exhaustion is a really common thing amongst both kids and adults, and there are lots of different reasons for it. Are any of these possible explanations the reason why you wake up still feeling tired?

1

Dark Room

If your room is blocked by blackout curtains and the sun can’t get in, then your body doesn’t have the chance to awake naturally with the rising of the sun. It will always try to stay in midnight mode and that's one of the biggest reasons why you wake up still feeling tired.

2

Stay up Late

You probably aren’t getting as much sleep as you need. You might think that you can function on five hours, but you need more like eight so you need to commit to going to bed earlier.

3

Stress

If you go to bed thinking about things that stress and worry you, then you are also going to wake up thinking about them too. This isn’t the ideal way to try to get meaningful rest, so try to identify the things that are causing you this worry, and then work to eliminate them so you don’t feel nervous exhaustion all the time.

4

Snooze Button

The more you hit the snooze button, the more chances you are giving your body to go back to sleep mode. If you have to pull yourself out of bed because you are running late after your fourth snooze, then you are going to interrupt your body in mid-sleep and it won’t be pretty.

5

Booze and Caffeine

Alcohol and caffeine too late at night can have serious impacts on the quality of your sleep. Being drunk might make you pass out, but it's more of a fitful, tossing and turning kind of slumber than a relaxing one. And caffeine will not help you to shut your systems down for real rest.
