1. Go for a Walk

This is one of the easiest, fastest, cheapest and most efficient ways to beat stress. Actually, any type of physical exercise is a stress reliever but if you don’t like running or going to the gym or you don’t have time to exercise regularly, just go for a walk and your stress levels will significantly decrease.

2. Meditate

Meditation will bring you inner peace and a deep state of relaxation and calmness. You don’t need to spend a lot of time meditating; you can do it for five or ten minutes every day, lying in your bed, sitting in a chair or even during a walk. Just imagine something that brings you peace and focus your entire attention on that image.

3. Declutter Your House

You can also beat stress by cleaning your house. This will help you take your mind off the situation that is troubling you and it will relax you. Just select a household chore every day, like decluttering your closet or cleaning the garage. This will help you take your mind off that stressful situation and your house will look amazing too.

4. Listen to Music

Listening to music can have a calming effect and it can put you in a better frame of mind. Put on your earphones and listen to your favorite tunes, since this will make you completely forget all your problems for a short while and help banish those annoying thoughts that are stressing you out.

7. Color or Paint

Exploring your creative side is not only fun, but it’s therapeutic too. You don’t have to be necessarily talented to play with crayons, brushes or paint. You also don’t have to own a lot of art supplies for this to work. You can simply buy a coloring book and some crayons and there you go. This pleasant activity will help you focus on something other than the things that are bothering you and it will significantly decrease your stress levels.
