1. Are You Experiencing an Implant Deflation?
This is the most common reason for breast implant replacement. Saline implants can leak or rupture. This can be a distressing situation and therefore, an implant replacement should be done as soon as possible. The treatment is simple. All you have to do is remove the deflated implant and replace it with a new one of the same size, shape and volume.
When a saline implant deflates, it's usually due to a valve malfunction or a tear in the implant shell. If you notice a sudden decrease in breast size or asymmetry, it's important to contact your surgeon promptly. While the saline solution is harmlessly absorbed by the body, the empty shell needs to be removed to prevent further complications. Implant deflation typically presents no immediate health risks, but timely replacement ensures that you can maintain your appearance and self-confidence without prolonged discomfort or inconvenience.

Changes in your body, weight fluctuations, gravity, and the natural aging process can all contribute to shifts in the position of breast implants over time. If you notice that one breast looks different from the other, or if they seem to sit at different heights or angles, you may be experiencing implant malposition.
