A fermented tea from Asia, Kombucha can be served either hot or with ice. It naturally helps to keep your energy levels up and aids the stomach with digestion; found in Asian health and grocery stores.
3. Miso Soup
Another Asian favorite (Japan), Miso Soup is high in both probiotics and protein. This is one of the probiotic foods that tastes great, combining tofu and vegetable broth – it’s very low in calories too, and makes a very nice change from regular tinned soup.
4. Soy Milk
Soy Milk naturally contains a limited amount of probiotics, but with new technology Soy Milk now has added benefits. Any labels that say “live and active cultures” are what you’re looking for.
Packed with probiotics and various vitamins, Kefir is a cross between yogurt and milk. You can purchase it in local grocery stores in both plain and flavored varieties – try it on some fresh fruit or in a smoothie!
As surprising as it may be, pickled cabbage really is one of the probiotic foods that is packed with nutrients. Perfect on top of hot dogs mixed with onion or as an accompaniment to salads, you should certainly try it.

One of my personal favourite probiotic foods, the brine that Olives are soaked in allows the probiotics to really thrive and develop. Whether you add them to classic pizza or Greek salad is your choice, but they are very good for your body.
