10 Calming YouTube Videos to Watch when You're Stressed ...

I have a suggestion for when you're stressed - watch calming youtube videos! When you’re stressed, it is important to not ignore it. It rarely goes away on its own and left unattended it can easily grow. Obviously, the best way to deal with stress is to tackle the issue and find a resolution. However, not all stress can be resolved quickly and in those times, you need to find time to calm down and be less anxious. This will put you in a frame of mind where you are better able to deal with the stress and its cause(s). Many of us turn to music but there are other ways to calm stress too. I happen to like calming YouTube videos – no not funny cat ones! Here are some that work for me. Maybe they’ll work for you. You’re welcome to try.

Scenes from Nature

Billed as the most calming YouTube ever (you’ll have to be the judge of that), this one features stunning scenes of nature.

Whale Song

I think I was a marine animal in a former life. I absolutely adore sea creatures. This is a short video but you can find some that run for an hour and more,

If you’re sensitive to visual stimulation, this will do more for you than sounds, however, the music is very soothing too.

Weightless by Marconi Union

Many experts rate this song by Marconi Union as the best to listen too when you want to relax or clam down from stress.

Time Lapse Flowers

Your nerves can’t help but be totally calmed by the sight of this stunning garden come to life.

America’s Great Spaces

This time lapse video is compiled from some 10,000 photographs taken by Shane Black. A touch of wanderlust is always good for the soul.

The Milky Way

I like to watch videos of the night sky (there’s too much light pollution where I live to get great views of the real thing!). Not only is it beautiful but if I’m a bit down, it reminds me of one of my favorite quotes - “When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

The Northern Lights

You can’t but help marvel at the spectacular that is the Northern Lights. As you watch the magical colors dance across the sky, your cares and woes just let away …even for just a little time is good.

Relax and Breathe

This video is specifically designed calm down anxiety with a simple breathing exercise. If you struggle to calm down because you can’t find something to focus on to simply breathe, this this exercise. All you have to do is breathe and lose yourself in the shape.

Escape to the Deep

Fishes swimming, seaweed swaying, marine creatures dancing, the light making incredible patterns in the water … everything you need to soothe those frayed nerves.

If none of these work for you, just search YouTube. Think about what makes you feel calm and there’s bound to be a video that will work wonders.
