1. Bowel Cancer
Did you know that bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in women? About 8 of out every 10 cases occur in woman in their 60s, so make sure that you do your screening when you finally get your letter. It is actually a home test that you complete and send off in a kit, so it's nice and easy.
2. Cholesterol and Blood Pressure
These two important health features are tested in what most people call the ‘midlife MOT’ that a doctor gives you between the ages of 40 and 74. It’s just a once over to check on all your vitals like blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI etc.
3. Cervical
Nobody likes the idea of a smear test, but believe me when I say that it really can save lives. Between the ages of 26 and 64, women are invited to have one, and it is super important because a lot of symptoms can stay silent and unnoticed until it is too late.
4. Breast Cancer
It’s not a screening that anyone really loves, but a few moments of uncomfortable pressure on your breasts is worth it when you consider the images taken can detect the tiniest little signs of breast cancer. The quicker you find it, the quicker you can beat it.
What you choose to wear while working out can have a significant impact on your comfort and performance. One essential item is the sports bra. Lack of proper support can lead to discomfort and muscle tissue damage. Choosing a good sports bra can help prevent these problems and ensure a great workout!
5. Eyes
Sometimes you don’t know your eyesight is failing until you are presented with a test on the matter! Your sight is too precious of a thing to let deteriorate without getting help, so make sure to keep those regular appointments with an optician to keep tabs on your ocular health.
