Fitness Fads can really surprise you. Some of them don't pass muster (or the test of time), but a surprising number of them are incredibly effective. Personally, I love the feeling after a good work out. My energy is up and endorphins are high. At that moment I feel I could take on the world. Unfortunately, after a week or two of the same old work out I start to get bored. Once things get tedious, you're more likely to stop working out, which is why fun fitness fads can help. So, today I put together 8 fitness fads you have to try in hopes of breaking up the gym time blues.

Ballet

Ballet isn’t just for little girls in tutus. Some of the newest fitness fads involve dance, no surprise ballet is one of them. Ballerinas have strength and poise that are so elegant and graceful. Ballet aerobic classes are popping up everywhere, so leave the gym and head to the dance studio.

Anti-Gravity Yoga

Here’s a new twist on a favorite fad, anti-gravity yoga. Pink has incorporated this into many of her concert performances, including her opening act at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Participants use a sturdy piece of material suspended from the ceiling to complete a mix of yoga, acrobatic, gymnastic, and Pilate type moves to increase strength.
