Carbohydrates are a great source of energy, lacking which your body is going to draw on the store of fats and proteins. 3. Binge on Veggies

That’s something we share in common – veggies. However, the difference lies in the kind of vegetables you have. While all veggies are great source of nutrition, beans, peas and starchy vegetables like corn and potato are your best friends right now, since they are high on calories. So definitely add that on your personal list of tips on how to eat more to gain weight.

4. Reach for Those Fruits

Fruits are always good fun to eat and they pack in most of the necessary vitamins and minerals your body requires. The good thing about fruit is its high sugar content which gives your body all the calories it needs to function throughout the day.

5. Pack in the Proteins

Another tip on how to eat more to gain weight, includes packing in the proteins. When you are trying to put on weight, you need to consume adequate amount of proteins which helps build organ and muscle structure. 6. Reach for the Fats

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that having fat-rich food in your diet is one of the most effective tips on how to eat more to gain weight. However, you have to be careful to choose the healthy kinds of fats, which would be omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The sources of these fats are fish, seafood, flax, walnuts, canola oil, sunflower oil, and corn oil.

7. Dietary Supplements

Dietary supplements aren’t entirely bad as long as you use it for what it is – a supplement. Make them a part of a well balanced meal plan and not the most essential ingredient. Stick to supplements that have a lot of carbohydrates and proteins and be extremely wary of anything that has too many chemicals in it.

8. Have a Balanced Meal

Each meal you have should be a balanced meal that incorporates all the elements of a healthy diet – proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins, and minerals. Break up your diet plan into 6 meals instead of three square meals. Squeeze in two to three snacks between meals, such as nuts and raisins, a couple of glasses of milk, or a huge fruit smoothie.

A lean lanky figure can be caused by several reasons – an eating disorder, hereditary problem, or maybe a prolonged illness. Whatever the cause might be, it’s not a permanent condition.
